"Fall into Depth" is meant to convey that while falling into (or already in) a dark depth of our minds, only that same mind is capable of achieving balance by shedding an equal and opposite amount of light on the issue. Bringing this mindset to the forefront of my work is the crux of my intent as an artist.

This painting was created amidst a particularly challenging time during which I was practicing this balancing act. I believe the strain of doing so is apparent in the artwork.


NOTE: The lighter areas of this painting glow accordingly when lit from behind - this symbolizes shedding light in an otherwise dark depth.
